This hand made sterling silver pendant is inspired by the culture of the Aztec people. It honors the medicine of the parrot, known to the Aztecs as Alotl, and is embedded with a carved jade peyote and aventurine stone.
The parrot represents the ability to go about our lives with a lot of energy and in a playful manner. They are also symbolic of the ability to speak and are colorful, joyous, and social beings.
Peyote is a word that comes from the Nahuatl language and translates to "shiny heart". It is a cactus that is sacred to various tribes in the Americas and used to commune with the Great Spirit, to empower the people, and to heal all types of spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical ailments.
This pendant is intricately crafted by an artisan based in Mexico in collaboration with Anahuac Arts.
